Stress

Stress.. it consumes us, rules us, and can change us. The fact is everyone has a little in their life and it is something that I personally hate. I hate to be stressed out, whether it is about Dakota and his ADHD, money, school, Addison and her teeth (another post...) It just sucks. So I ask what do people do for stress here are some answers I have gotten.. (Via friends and Google LOL).

Take a hot bath or shower (I personally like the shower)
Read (yep another personal fav. )
Take a time out
Go get a pedicure
Shop (I'm personally addicted)
Go out with your spouse for a worry free night

MAD MONDAY!

Today I have been busy busy!!
Today I decided to put Dakota in a school that is right down the street from my house. It is walking distance and I really should have put him in it a year ago. This whole time I have been driving him to a school about 8-10 minutes away in a city nearby. Why? You ask. Well Dakota receives IEP in speech and in special ed. He gets extra help in writing, math and reading one hour a day and goes to speech 2 hours a week. I guess I didn't want to take him out of that to a different school where they will have to relearn how he learns.. I know it may not make sense you anyone else but it did to me.  Well now I'm wondering if this change will be the extra push he needs. Maybe the things they do here are better.. we shall see and I will most definitely keep everyone updated.
I also did a bunch of crazy algebra homework, yes I am also attending school online full time which can be a big pain in the ass but I keep telling myself that it will be worth it in the long run!
I was working on 2 word problems for 3 hours..shhheeeessshhh..
Dakota also went to the Dentist today GOOD NEWS no cavities! Such a relief!

Nerve wracking day

Today my 5 year old has an appointment with a psychiatrist. I'm nervous. I'm nervous that its my fault. What if all of her anger and severe mood swings are because of me and "bad" parenting? I've suffered from depression my whole life, her biological dad was diagnosed bi-polar as well as depressed. I know the odds arnt on her side. We try to make this a happy home for her. I just don't know what else to do. I hope that we are able to get some answers. I want my baby to be happy and enjoy her life. She's missing out on so much of her childhood. It breaks my heart.

Some things to expect

This blog isn't about anything specific but rather a bunch of things that we like and like to talk about.
So some things to expect from us are

  • Things about our crazy kids, family, and friends
  • Fun things to do in Arizona
  • Couponing (I just started this)
  • Sewing, bow making, and other crafty things alike (Reannen is the cool one who does this )
  • Cool giveaways that we come across and want to share with others
  • Cloth diapering
  • Breastfeeding
  • Anything that our stay at home lives bring us!
I'm sure there will be all sorts of fun going on here, plus a equal dosage of useful information.
So thank you for following us, and checking us out!

R & E

Hello blogger world!!!

This will be a blog about all things mommy! From life with children, schools, sicknesses, husbands... you name it, I'm sure we'll discuss it!! First I will tell you a little bit about us as a duo. Erin and I met in an online due date group for our children born in May 2010. We got to know quite a few ladies in there but once we realized that we lived less than 10 miles from each other we decided to meet up and hang out. Now, 2 years later we have play dates weekly and talk every day. We are always talking about what our kids are doing and yada yada so Erin thought it might be a good idea to start a blog. How could I resist? Thus, Stay at Home Mom Diaries was born.

And a little about our individual selves...

My name is Reannen and live in the historic district of Downtown Phoenix. Before I became a Phoenician, I was living in Rancho Santa Margarita California until the summer I turned 16. Now 10 years later, I'm a wife to a Mechanical Engineer for a major Architecture firm and mom to three beautiful kids. Sienna is 5, Jack is 2 and Zoey is 6.5 months old.

My name is Erin and I live in what we call the "West Valley" here around Phoenix. The town is Peoria! We have been here for about 5 years now. Before living here in Arizona we lived in Southern California, and I must say that is were my heart is. I am married to a wonderful man who is a supervisor concrete coating field and a mom to two crazy kids! Dakota is 7 and Addison is 2.

And so it begins.
